Football’s back, and if you’ve been anywhere near Kyle Field in the last couple of weeks, you can feel the excitement building. The Aggies open the 2026 season at home on September 5th against the Missouri State Bears, kicking off a stretch of three straight home games to start the season. Whether you bleed maroon or your kid does, game weekends create a stir in this town, and we want you to be ready for it.
Here’s the full home schedule for this season, with a few special themed games worth planning ahead for:
- September 5, Missouri State
- September 12, Arizona State, Red White and Blue Game, honoring America’s 250th and the 25th anniversary of September 11
- September 19, Kentucky
- October 3, Arkansas, 150th Anniversary Celebration for Texas A&M
- October 17, The Citadel
- November 14, Tennessee, Operation Blackout, wear black
- November 27, Texas, the Lone Star Showdown, Maroon Out
You can check exact kickoff times and TV info on the official Aggies schedule as they lock in closer to each game.

Now for the part we have to be upfront about. Football season is our busiest stretch of the year, no contest. Once a home game weekend hits, Bryan & College Station fill up fast, hotels too, and we’re no exception. A couple things change for us during game weekends: we run a 2-night minimum stay, and rates go up $10 a night. We know nobody loves a price jump, but it’s simply supply and demand around here once 100,000-plus people roll into town for a Saturday afternoon.
Here’s the real advice, though. We’re small. 48 back-in spots and 20 pull-throughs, and on a big game weekend, spots disappear quicker than the brisket at a post-church barbeque. We don’t take reservations online, so if you know you’re coming for Texas weekend or the season opener, give us a call sooner rather than later. Don’t wait until the Tuesday before and end up scrambling, or worse, parking 3 towns over and have to miss tailgate.
However your season shakes out, win or lose, we hope you’ll make Galloping Snail your home base. Come tailgate, come cheer, and rest your shells with us between games.
