Texas is home to two National Parks: Big Bend National Park and the Guadalupe Mountains National Park. There are a total of 14 National Parks Sites deep in the heart of Texas. Here in Bryan, the El Camino Real de los Texas National Historic Trail runs right through the heart of town. There is a wealth of national treasures just waiting to be discovered and celebrated. National Park Week is an annual event that reminds us to explore and appreciate the beauty and significance of America’s parks systems.     April 20 marks the beginning of National Park Week with the theme of Discovery. To encourage exploration, entrance fees to national parks are waived on this day. Discover the exhibition at University Art Galleries which opened March 21st and will run through May 26 and will display a traveling art exhibit celebrating 100 years of Texas State Parks
