If you haven’t been out to Travis Bryan Midtown Park yet, it’s time to fix that.
What used to be a municipal golf course and lake in the heart of Bryan’s Midtown neighborhood has been completely reimagined into one of the coolest spots in the Brazos Valley. We’re talking 150 acres of athletic facilities, entertainment venues, walking trails, and more still coming. It’s the kind of place that gives long-term visitors — and locals — a real reason to get out and have some fun on a Saturday.
Here’s what’s out there right now:
Legends Event Center
This city-owned sports and entertainment venue draws tournaments and events from all over the country. If you’ve got kids in travel sports, or you just like watching competitive athletics in a clean, modern facility, keep an eye on what’s coming through. 🔗 More Info

And it’s still growing. A boardwalk, a refilled Midtown Lake, fishing piers, boat rentals, and an accessible playground are all in the works. This park is going to keep getting better.
If you’re staying in the area for a week, a month, or longer — Midtown is the kind of place worth having in your back pocket. Close enough for a quick afternoon out, big enough to keep things interesting.
Bryan’s got more going on than most people expect — and Midtown is a big part of why. Whether you’re here for a tournament weekend or you’ve settled in for a while, there’s always something worth getting out for. Rest your shells with us, and we’ll leave the exploring to you.
